We should thank former President Buhari in a very special way – Bishop Kukah

Following the current state of the Nigerian economy, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Bishop Matthew Kukah, stated that former president Muhammad Buhari deserved to be thanked in a very special way.

The renowned cleric made this statement in reaction to the state of the country before Buhari handed it over to the present administration.

Speaking further, Bishop Kukah stated that Buhari and the former Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami (SAN), deserve appreciation for the way they handled the country when they were in power.

He added that Nigerians owe them gratitude, saying: “I think we should thank former president Muhammad Buhari in a very special way. Yesterday, I spent quite a lot of time calling the former Attorney-General; they deserve appreciation.

As you know, Goodluck Jonathan handed over an 800-million-dollar bill to be settled, and President Buhari said, ‘No, I think their resilience has brought us to where we are’. I would like to say that we owe them gratitude, he stated.
